Well here are a few pictures of our first fishing trip of the 2008 season. Ricky and I took the day off...I actually had to go to the doctor for my arm...that is another story for another day...Anyway, we took off and Grandma picked the kids up from school around 11:00 am. We got a boat from Ricky's parents last year. It is a really nice bay boat...the parents love it anyway. We went out of Galveston and went to the jetties. We all caught something...Rich caught the Gafftop (catfish in saltwater) on his Spiderman pole. Grandma helped reel it in as Rich would have probably been pulled overboard. Emily caught a crab...she let it go in the boat and then screamed...she is such a girl. I didn't fish a whole lot due to my arm, but did put the pole in the water...I didn't catch anything. Ricky had the big catch of the day...he is kissing is Black Drum...kind of like a Redfish, only black. We got to see several wild dophins in the bay out by the jetties. We all had a really nice day. I have to remember SUNSCREEN...yes, I took it, but didn't apply to myself or the kids...way to go!!!!!!!!!!! It was hard going to work the next day pretending to be sick...ha, ha.
Well we finally got all the seeds planted. The kids ended up planting canteloupe, onions, green beans, carrots, tomatos and strawberries. Mom supervised and kids planted...still nothing popping up out of the dirt.

Well we are becoming farmers this spring. We planted carrots, onions, green beans and canteloupe. We also have two cherry tomato plants that we are going to try to get some fruit off of. Everything but the tomatos are seeds...we are going to try to start from scratch. The kids have learned about seeds and what they need to grow, so we will try it here at home...pictures will come as the plants grow.
Well this year the kids really got into April's Fool Day. They both started the night before trying to trick both Ricky and I. Bampa got us good, I heard that he got all of the kids...very funny dad and Rebecca. Anyway, both kids are growing so fast...even Richard. Emily however is eating us out of house and home...thankfully she is eating healthy things like fruit and vegatables. Richard just wants candy...both went to the dentist last week and got perfect reports. Emily was told she had absolutely perfect teeth. Richard had help pulling out his second tooth...his teeth are growing in under or behind his baby teeth, and the baby teeth don't seem to want to come out. I have returned to work, it has been a full two weeks and I am so glad to be back. I really missed the kids. My arm is healing nicely...but with any nerve damage, there are times that it does hurt. We will start fishing soon, we all got new poles for Christmas and are ready to get the big one.
Welcome to our family page. I hope to keep everyone up-to-date with what is going on in our family. The kids are growing so fast...I hope you enjoy watching them growup as we do. Please leave us your blogspot so that we can visit and watch your families to keep up-to-date.
